Run from May 4-7 at Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence, the Emus' will have a combined camp with the Australian Under-17 team as 35 of some of the most promising young athletes in the country come together for the a three-day camp.

Nine members of the Emus squad which will be coached by Darren Perry flew out to Germany on Monday to contest the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Tournament while a total of ten players from the 2017 FIBA Oceania Championship gold medal winning team included as well.

Now qualifying through Asia, the Emus will need to finish in the top four of the 2018 FIBA Under-18 Asian Championships to qualify for the Under-19 World Cup which will be held next year.

The Emus have a proud history of success on the international stage, having claimed the 2003 FIBA Under-19 World Championship gold medal with a team that included Andrew Bogut (who was named the tournament MVP), Brad Newley and Damian Martin.

The likes of Patty Mills, Matthew Dellavedova, Chris Goulding, Dante Exum and Mitch Creek have all come through the program as well with members of the current squad sure to provide the next generation of Boomers talent.
