Developed in partnership between Basketball Victoria and Basketball Australia and funded by VicHealth’s State Sport Program, this resource has been developed to not only provide the knowledge and expertise required to coach athletes with impairment, but to break down the barriers between mainstream and wheelchair basketball.

Whilst there is a wealth of information available on the principles of wheelchair basketball, there is nothing as concise, educational or interactive as this that will better equip coaches, players and basketball supporters to see and learn about wheelchair basketball in a more holistic and open-minded way.

Ben Ettridge, Head Coach Australian Rollers and Brad Ness four-time Paralympian have been huge supporters of this e-resource and will both be in attendance and available to take
questions.

"Wheelchair basketball is an amazing sport, the most inclusive in the world, allowing mixed gender, disabilities and men and women to play at any one time," said Ettridge.

"What some coaches do not realise is how easy it is to transition to wheelchair basketball and this e-resource will be a great tool to demonstrate just that."

Directly following the launch, some of the Australian Rollers will take the court for a National Wheelchair Basketball League game between the Kilsyth Cobras and Perth Wheelcats.
