Vic Metro have gained some separation in Pool A of the men's division in front of their home crowd, owning a 3-0 record to lead New Zealand and QLD South by a game.
QLD South were handed a 15-point defeat by SA Country yesterday which moved the winners up to fourth on the ladder while WA Country and NT are yet to record a victory.
In their Championship defence, QLD North lead Pool B with a 4-0 record although WA Metro continue to surprise some with their unbeaten record after they took care of ACT on Day 3.
Vic Country then sit third with a 3-1 record leaving just one spot up for grabs between the four remaining teams.
Two important clashes will help settle that final placing today with SA Metro facing ACT while NSW Metro play Tasmania in what will be the first win for one of those sides.
In the women's division, Vic Metro and QLD North are clear leaders in Pool A but one of their unbeaten runs will come to an end this evening as they meet up.
A loss to QLD North especially would open the door for SA Country and New Zealand with top-two seedings still available.
In Pool B, QLD South look set to battle for back-to-back titles with a 3-0 record although they are being shadowed currently by the 4-0 SA Metro women.
One of the games of the tournament is set to be played today as Vic Country play SA Metro for that top spot while Tasmania and NT will also hit the court in their respective attempts to record a maiden win.
