Ranked number 8 in the world, China found themselves trailing by 14 points at half-time following a 15-29 second period.

Liz Cambage was the catalyst for that Opals run, scoring nine points in the second term before Australia opened up their biggest lead nearing three-quarter time with a 28-point advantage.

Finishing with 18 points and seven rebounds, Cambage's influence under the rim helped the Opals to a 44-24 edge in the paint while Nat Burton was efficient with two points, six boards and five assists.

In the back-court, the combination of Leilani Mitchell (11 points, five rebounds, four assists), Katie-Rae Ebzery (16 points, five assists) and Tessa Lavey (13 points off the bench) continue to fire while all 13 players again received court-time with 12 players hitting the scoreboard.

"We played a quality international team that we think will feature in Rio," said Opals head coach Brendan Joyce.

"It was our best four quarter effort on tour with some tremendous execution under pressure."

In more positive news, Marianna Tolo made a successful return to the court after rehabilitation at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for an ACL injury.

"[It was] very pleasing to welcome Marianna back after working so hard at the CoE," said Joyce.
