A scrappy opening to the game saw the Boomers struggle to adapt to the unorthodox style of play from Cameroon and their offence spluttered, tallying 20 turnovers for the contest.

They became more settled as the game wore on though and once the Boomers were able to move the ball, avenues to the basket opened up.

Todd Blanchfield had the hot hand, scoring 21 of his 26 points in the first half and the Aussies proved their superior offensive power with Jason Cadee (14 points, six rebounds, six assists) and Xavier Cooks (11 points) starring.

“For the third game in succession we got off to a slow start," said coach Andrej Lemanis.

“However, we again had great energy off the bench and certainly to win our third game from as many attempts on this tour is extremely pleasing.

Credit to the guys for the way in which they have played and found ways to win.”

The Boomers will now head to Shenyang for the second leg of the tour where they will play from July 1-3 before heading back home.
