Continuing the success of the Australian Boomers which has seen Brock Motum win the Lithuanian Championship and Andrew Bogut or Matthew Dellavedova on the verge of winning an NBA ring, Andersen helped ASVEL to their 18th Championship and their first since 2009.

Trailing 0-2 in the series, ASVEL were unable to pick up a win on the road in the first two contests with Andersen averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds.

Returning to their home court, the Aussie's team quickly got back on track with a 90-69 victory but Andersen was relatively quiet in 12 minutes, collecting five points and two assists.

However, he was highly influential in Game 4 as ASVEL put together a 16-12 final term to win by a point. Shooting 5-11, the centre recorded a team-high 14 points with seven boards (three offensive) and two steals in a complete performance.

Early this morning back in Strasbourg, ASVEL were able to reverse the outcomes of the first two games with a thrilling 80-77 win as they held off a rampaging home team in a 13-29 final term.

Andersen (ten points on 4-7 shooting) again reached double-figures to finish with a series average of 10.8 points and 4.4 rebounds.

Dominating Europe in his professional career, Andersen has added this French title to three Russian Championships, three Italian Championships and one Spanish Championship as well as three Euroleague titles in 2001, 2006 and 2008.

Andersen will now head back to Australia to train with the Boomers in an attempt to make the Rio team as well as compete in the Farewell Series at Hisense Arena on July 12 and July 14.
