With only a day remaining in the group games, the top fours are taking shape across the competition.

In the men's draw, Vic Metro (5-0), SA Metro (4-1) and Queensland South (3-2) looked to have assured their spots in Pool B with Tasmania battling NSW Metro today for fourth place.

Winning by an average of 31 points, Vic Metro certainly look to the team to beat as we head into the finals.

Pool A is more wide open, with fifth-placed Vic Country needing a win over second-placed Queensland North today.

NSW Country are unbeaten on top of the ladder but will need to overcome a desperate SA Country team today who are sitting precariously in fourth position.

In the women's draw, Vic Country and NSW Country can start planning for finals in Pool A with ACT and SA Metro, both sitting at 2-2, also looking good. Queensland North are still in with a shot though and must defeat the winless WA Metro to keep their hopes alive.

Pool B is settled with Vic Metro, Queensland South, SA Country and Tasmania all advancing but the positions on the ladder can still change while the fact that every team has suffered a loss means the finals are wide open.

QLD South will face Tasmania today while SA Country could move to top spot as they play the winless Northern Territory on the final day of the pool games.

Meanwhile, the Kevin Coombs Cup begins today with all five teams (Victoria, WA, NSW, Queensland Navy and Queensland Gold) kicking off their campaigns today. The sides will play each other once through the group stage before their finals on Saturday.
