The pools have begun to take shape after the second day of competition in the men's and women's tournaments.

For the Under-18 men in Pool A, NSW Country and WA Metro are the two undefeated teams and are set for a clash today.

Four players are averaging over 13 points a game for NSW Country while Kyle Bowen has been a standout for WA Metro so far.

Sitting outside the top four in Pool A, the winless SA Country and ACT will be desperate for a victory to keep their finals dreams alive.

In Pool B for the men, SA Metro have streaked to the top of the ladder with a 3-0 record while Vic Metro are also sitting pretty with two straight wins.

With 1-1 records each, Queensland South and Tasmania face off today in an important game which will shape the ladder.

In the women's competition, NSW Country and Vic Country will play for top spot in Pool A today. The loser will find themselves in a fight against ACT and Queensland North will both those sides nipping at the heels of the top two.

Pool B for the women has been blown open with Vic Metro suffering their first loss in two years at the Under-18 Champs.

Queensland South were the giant killers and they now sit with a 2-0 record, just ahead of Tasmania (2-1) and just behind SA Country who look like the team to beat after three straight victories by an average margin of 11 points.
