A quick and aggressive start from Malaysia saw them open up an early lead and catch Brett Stibners in foul trouble.
Sam White and Matt McShane were able to steady the ship with their defensive intensity though and through Adam Deans (12 points) and Shawn Russell (10 points), Australia took a 14-point advantage into quarter-time.
After an impressive second term in which the Rollers doubled the Malaysians score to give themselves a handy lead, their trademark defence that had been on show all tournament returned in a dominant second half.
Tige Simmons and Jannik Blair tightened the screws and shut down the oppositions most potent scorers while Shaun Norris (12 points), Tristan Knowles (12 points), Bill Latham (12 points) and Brad Ness (10 points) kept the scoreboard ticking over as Australia ran out comfortable 81-26 victors.
Coming back from a wrist sprain, Norris' minutes continue to be managed but his role is set to increase as Australia enters the business end of the tournament.
The Rollers now face Thailand in the Quarter-Final today while the Gliders face their final pool group game against China.
