The 18-year-old combo guard has spent January meeting with prospective NBA agents and spending time with his family ahead of making his decision this week, electing to join Landmark Sports Agency and embark on an NBA career.
Exum, the son of former NBL import Cecil, is regarded as one of the most talented prospects in the 2014 NBA Draft, with ESPN draft expert Chad Ford ranking the teenager fourth in his top 100 – the number one point guard.
This would see Exum become Australia’s highest NBA draft selection since Andrew Bogut was taken with the number one overall selection of the 2005 NBA Draft.
It has been a whirlwind 12 months for Exum, impressing at the 2013 Nike Hoops Summit before helping the Australian Emus reach the semi-finals of the 2013 FIBA Under 19 World Championships.

Strong performances on the world stage earned Exum a call-up to his first Australian Boomers team for the 2013 FIBA Oceania Championships, helping the team claim victory over New Zealand and secure top-billing for the region for this year’s 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
Capping off a memorable 2013, Exum returned to play for Lake Ginninderra College in the Australian School Championships, leading the Lakers to the title.
Exum looks set to join the growing legion of Australian players in the NBA alongside Boomers quartet Patty Mills andAron Baynes at the San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova, and Andrew Bogut at the Golden State Warriors.
In making the decision to join Landmark Sports Agency, Exum joins the likes of NBA stars Kobe Bryant, James Harden, Andre Iguodala and Andre Drummond as clients.
The 2014 NBA Draft takes place on Thursday June 26.
