Australian Boomers star Aron Baynes put in his best performance of the NBA season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 6 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs continued their amazing start to the campaign, defeating Toronto 113-103 on Wednesday.

Playing time has been hard to come by for Baynes, but the star forward/centre enjoyed 21 minutes in the win over the Raptors, shooting 7-of-9 from the floor. Boomers teammate Patty Mills continues to be an instant offensive threat for the Spurs, adding 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc.

It was a week of big numbers as Andrew Bogut grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds for the Golden State Warriors in their nail-bitting 95-93 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. The Boomers big has been a monster on the glass in his past three games, averaging 14 rebounds per game in that time.

Cayla Francis had 9 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench for Nantes, but it wasn’t enough to stop the French team going down to Belfius Namur in Eurocup action.

The wins keep coming for Joe Ingles and his Maccabi Tel-Aviv as they moved to third position on the Israeli Superleague ladder, following a 79-58 win over Rishon Le Zion. Ingles had 7 points and 4 rebounds in 22 minutes.

This form was carried into the team’s Euroleague, as Tel-Aviv defeated Lietuvos Rtytas 78-71 to move to the top of Group D.

The Boise State Broncos saw their unbeaten start to the NCAA college season brought to an end as Kentucky recorded a 70-55 win on Wednesday. In-form Aussie guard Anthony Drmic was the standout for the Broncos, posting 18 points and 4 rebounds in the loss.
