Dellavedova had played limited minutes through the opening three weeks of the season before posting 31 minutes against Washington, entering the game nine minutes remaining in the third quarter and never returning to the bench.
Brown told Cleveland newspaper The News-Herald that Dellavedova’s performance left him “speechless”.
“We just felt like we wanted to throw him out there,” Brown said. “He’s a tough son of a gun. He does what he does. Offensively, he’s just a ball-mover. I’ve never seen a guy go 1-for-5 from the field and impact the game the way he did. Delly’s performance on both ends of the floor, I’m speechless.”
The Cavs have three games this week, starting on Thursday (AEDT) when they welcome Washington.
