Australian Opals star Liz Cambage has continued her recent dominance of the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association, dropping 39 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in Zhejiang’s 105-76 win over Liaoning on Tuesday night.

The 2012 London Olympic Games Bronze Medallist is the form player of the competition after taking out the WCBA Player of the Week award for her 45-point 10-rebound showing at the weekend in her team’s 102-96 loss to Yunnan.

Cambage has been the star of Zhejiang’s 5-3 start to the WCBA season, leading the team in scoring (31.2 points per game), shooting (74.8%), blocks (2.5) and rebounding (9.7).

After starting on the bench for the first two games of the season, it was in Round Three where the 21-year-old announced herself to the WCBA, scoring 46 points on 16-of-23 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds.

This was enough to earn Cambage WCBA Player of the Week honours and set the tone for the rest of her campaign.

The 2010/11 WNBL MVP is currently ranked second in scoring behind WNBA star Maya Moore, eighth in rebounding and third in blocks in the WCBA.
