Australian Select U17 Team for May tour of China

Twelve of Australia's most promising young male basketballers have been selected for a tour of China which will tip-off in May.

The team is made up of U17 Men's World Championship team hopefuls, featuring Dante Exum, the son of former NBL import Cecil Exum who last year was selected for a preliminary Boomers camp ahead of the Olympic Qualifiers Also in the side are the sons of former players Ben Simmons (the son of David Simmons) and Jack Purchase (the son of Nigel Purchase).

Other exciting prospects in the group include guard Mirko Djeric, Felix von Hofe, Sam Johns and Josh Derksen.

The 2012 FIBA U17 World Championship tips off in June 29 2012 in Lithuania.
