Basketball WA CEO Rick Smith complimented David Herbert on the advancements he had made with the Waves over the past two years.

“David has performed admirably with limited resources. He has provided expert coaching to some of the young WA talent and developed a number of players to another level.

"David is an excellent technical and tactical coach and we have been very fortunate to have him coach the team over the past two seasons in addition to undertaking his  very busy employed role with Basketball WA,” Smith said.

Employed as the High Performance Coach/Manager with Basketball WA and coaching the Waves on a volunteer basis, Herbert has been encouraged to reapply for the position should he wish to.
