Bogut sustains soft tissue damage, will miss 8-12 weeks

An MRI scan has revealed that Andrew Bogut has sustained significant soft tissue damage to his left ankle which sees the Aussie superstar sidelined for between eight and 12 weeks.

The seven foot big man landed on the foot of Rockets guard Kyle Lowry after trying to block his shot in the first quarter of their contest on Wednesday. His left foot rolled sharply and according to Bogut, he knew the damage had been done.

"It wasn’t good," Bogut told the Sentinel after the game. "I knew when I came down I was in some trouble."

Playing in his 400th career NBA game on Wednesday night, Bogut left the contest with three points, four rebounds and three blocked shots. In 12 games this season, Bogut averaged 11.3 points, a team-high 8.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steal and a team-high 2.0 blocked shots (T-7th in NBA) in 30.0 minutes per contest.
