U14 Australian Club Championship tips off today

The 2011 U14 Australian Junior Club Championship tipped off today in Brisbane Queensland with 24 of the nation’s top-ranked basketball clubs battling it to be crowned Australian Champion.

Played over six days of high-intensity basketball action, the rising stars of Australian basketball will have the chance to show their stuff as they embark upon a great journey that many of Australia’s great players have successfully taken, competing at the Australian Junior Championship and progressing all the way through to the top of the sport, the Boomers and Jayco Opals teams.

The first two day’s action will see plenty of games, with the sides playing all three preliminary rounds on the Monday and Tuesday of competition, before the teams advance into the second phase of the tournament.
