Margo was a towering figure in the world of basketball and her death is a great loss to the sport as well as all those whose lives she touched.
Her connection to basketball in this country began when she represented Poland at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, before settling in Brisbane with her husband and young family in recent years.
Margo was a great role model to women around the world and was continuing to give back to the sport that had been such a great part of her life, through her work as coach of the Northside Wizards development league women’s team in the Queensland Basketball League.
She was a friend to many in the basketball community and had developed great friendships among the Queensland basketball community.
She will be sadly missed.
