Following an exceptional tour of China, where the Gems picked up two tournament victories — the Shanglou Cup and the Shouzou Tournament — the final 12 players that will compete for Australia in the 2011 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship of Basketball have been selected.

The extensive hit-out also gave the coaching staff plenty of information to work with, at both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor, as they work towards tournament success at the FIBA U19 Championships, this year held in Chile from 21 – 31 July.
