Mills rallies Trailblazers to help with the Queensland Flood Appeal

Australian Boomers point guard Patty Mills has inspired his NBA club the Portland Trailblazers to assist with fund-raising for the flood-affected areas of Queensland.

As an Australian, and with family and friends in the region, Mills felt compelled to rally his teammates and the Trailblazer administration to pitch in, dig deep and help out.

As a result, there will be a bucket handed around at each Portland Trailblazers home game throughout the month of January.

In addition to that, a big silent auction will be held in Portland on Australia Day, where a number of Boomers/Patty Mills items of basketball memorabilia will be sold, with all proceeds going to the Queensland Flood Appeal.
