Sport Australia Hall of Fame acknowledges two young stars in the making

Two young Australian basketball stars were presented with Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarships last Friday night at the 2010 Sport Australia Hall of Fame dinner at the Crown Palladium Ballroom in Melbourne.

The 20 year old  Dylan Alcott from Victoria was first awarded with the prestigious scholarship for Wheelchair Basketball. He was named in the All-star Five at this year’s World Championships

The second recipient was Australian Opals and Bulleen Boomers star Elizabeth Cambage. The 19 year old made the world take notice with a break-out performance at this year’s World Championships also.

In addition to the scholarship’s cash component, both Liz and Dylan receive an Etihad Airlines return flight to Europe for competition purposes, and they also receive a unique mentoring opportunity with a selected Hall of Fame Member.
