Australians roll Mexico at World Wheelchair Champs

The Australian Men's Wheelchair Basketball team, the Rollers, continued their dominance at the 2010 IWBF World Wheelchair Basketball Championship with an 81-43 victory over Mexico in Birmingham, England overnight.

Justin Eveson led the Rollers again with 21 points and a game high four steals. Shaun Norris had another double-double with 15 points and 11 assists.

Raul Ortega was the only Mexican to score in double figures with 10 points.

The Australians got away to a 26-10 lead at the first quarter and were never in any danger of succumbing to Mexico.

A 20-2 third quarter sealed the victory as the Rollers stepped up their defensive effort, forcing Mexico to take difficult shots; Mexico scored only two points in the entire quarter.

The Rollers next take on rival Canada at 4.00am Tuesday July 13 AEST.
