Boomer Aleks Maric earns back-to-back honours

For the third time in a month, Boomers centre Aleks Maric has earned Euroleague MVP honours by amassing the highest individual performance index rating for regular season in Week 8 despite his team's close Group B road loss against Entente Orleanaise.

A Euroleague rookie this season playing with Partizan Belgrade, Maric has now won or shared the weekly MVP honour three times since late November.

On Thursday, Maric registered his fourth double-double in the last five games by leading Partizan with 20 points and 11 rebounds despite being the primary focus of the Orleans defence.

He missed only a pair of shots all night, making 7 of 8 two-pointers and 6 of 7 free throws while also collecting 2 steals, a block and 5 fouls drawn to get that 29 index rating.

The Round 8 accolade gave Maric back-to-back honours after also winning the title in Round 7.

Maric is averaging the highest individual performance index rating, 26.5 per game while ranked second in points (18.38 per game) and rebounds (10 per game).
