Players to visit Bushfire victims

Players to visit Bushfire victims

Players from across basketball will join together on Thursday to visit the heroes of our recent bush fires.

NBL players from the Melbourne Tigers and South Dragons will join the WNBL Bulleen Boomers on a bus from the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre to visit the relief centres.

With basketball associations in Kinglake, Whittlesea and Wallan, many of our basketball community have been effected by the recent tragedy. The stars of our game want to do anything they can to lift the community spirit.

On the bus from the Melbourne Tigers will be Sam Mackinnon, Tommy Greer, Nathan Crosswell, Daryl Corletto, Dave Thomas, Ebi Ere, Bo Westover, Daniel Johnson and David Barlow. For the South Dragons Mika Vukona, Tariq Naqash, Rhys Carter, Nathan Herbert, Daniel Dillon and Tremmell Darden. And from the Bulleen Boomers we have Elyse Penaluna, Katrina Hibbert and Zoe Carr.

Basketball Victoria extended a huge thank you to Grenda's bus lines for the donation of transport.
