The Iranian men’s basketball team will touch down in Perth this afternoon in advance of the opening game of the ‘Boomers World Challenge’ on Monday night.
The reigning FIBA Asia Champions will arrive on Emirates flight EK420 at 5:25pm local time.
They will be staying at the Rendezvous Observation City on The Esplanade in Scarborough and hit the court for the first time on Sunday.
Training will take place at Perry Lakes basketball stadium on Meagher Drive in Floreat from 1:00pm to 3:30pm on that day and is open to media.
When Iran faces the Boomers at Challenge Stadium in Perth on Monday night at 7:00pm it will be the first time the two nations have competed in men’s basketball.
Game 2 will be held in Adelaide on Wednesday June 18 with the final game held on Friday June 20 at The Cage in Melbourne.
