Australian Boomers coach, Brian Goorjian, will leave Australia on Tuesday morning for a trip to the US where he will visit Australian NBA players Andrew Bogut and Luke Schenscher as they prepare for the NBA finals.

Goorjian will be available for media interviews in Canberra on Monday night to talk about kicking off his preparations for the 2006 World Championships in Japan.

After winning gold at the Commonwealth Games only two weeks ago, Goorjian must now rebuild his squad and begin the long road to the World Championships in August.  The Championships will be the first the Boomers have attended in eight years, after missing the tournament in 2002 when they were defeated by New Zealand in the qualifying tournament.

Goorjian has a good group to work with for this year.  Not only will Bogut and Schenscher be in the mix, but European-based Matt Nielsen will also join the group that won gold at the Commonwealth Games.

Goorjian will be available for media interviews at the Canberra Business Promotions Centre from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

When: Monday, 10 April 2006

Time: 5:30pm- 7:00pm
