The Australia Post Boomers will depart Sydney International Airport on SQ222 at 3:40pm tomorrow, Friday July 27.
Head Coach Brian Goorjian and all players, including brand new Australian Darnell Mee, 2007 NBL MVP Sam Mackinnon of the Brisbane Bullets, European star David Andersen, NBA recruits Brad Newley and Luke Schenscher, Sydney Kings Jason Smith and Glen Saville, and South Dragons young gun Joe Ingles, will be available to media from 1:45pm to 2:15pm at the Singapore Airlines International check in desk.
The Boomers are gearing up for the 2007 FIBA Oceania Men’s Championship which will be contested on August 20, 22 and 24 in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, for the right to play in Beijing in 2008.
They will play eight games on a tour of Italy and Turkey, including games against Austria, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Italy and Senegal.
