The Australian Under 19 men’s basketball team, the Emus, will arrive at Sydney International Airport (Terminal 1B) on flight QF2 at 2:50pm this afternoon.

The Emus claimed fifth at the 2007 FIBA World Championship in Novi Sad, Serbia this week, finishing with the equal best record of any team at the tournament, winning eight of their nine games.

Their only loss came in the final three seconds of a do-or-die quarter final against Brazil.

210cm superstar Andrew Ogilvy and the rest of squad will be returning home, with the exception gun point guard Patrick Mills who will join the Australia Post Boomers squad on an Indigenous Talent Identification Grant, courtesy of the Australian Sports Commission, for their two-week, eight game tour of Italy and Turkey.

The Emus recorded two wins over Turkey and Argentina at the World Championship as well as victories over Nigeria, Canada, Korea and Spain.
