Basketball Australia is pleased to announce the Australian men’s wheelchair basketball team, the Rollers, will play a four-game international series in Perth and Sydney against fierce rivals Great Britain, beginning tomorrow.

Great Britain will play the final game of their tour against the West Sydney Razorbacks on Sunday, August 5 in Bankstown, Sydney.

On the sidelines, former Rollers Head Coach Murray Treseder, who left the team to take up a lucrative Head Coaching role with Great Britain in February, will face off against his protégé Ben Ettridge, the new Head Coach of the Rollers.

Ettridge’s Rollers claimed Silver at the 2007 VISA Paralympic World Cup in Manchester in April, where they defeated Treseder’s Great Britain in the pool games.

The Rollers then qualified for the Beijing Paralympics after winning the Arafura Games in Darwin in May.

Great Britain will use the series to prepare for European Championships in August and will also play games against the Perth Wheelcats in Perth, the Wollongong Hawks in Shellharbour and the West Sydney Razorbacks in Sydney.

Full team lists can be found on the Basketball Australia website, www.basketball.net.au.
