Australia Post Boomer and NBA bound star Brad Newley will conduct an Australia Post Junior Boomers Clinic in his hometown of Adelaide tomorrow.

Newley, a 2006 Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, was selected with pick number 54 by the Houston Rockets in the NBA draft last Friday.

He will conduct the clinic with the aim of putting more children on the path of learning to love basketball.

More than 7,000 schools across Australia entered the Australia Post Junior Boomers Competition, with one school from each state and territory winning the major prize - a basketball clinic at their school hosted by an Australia Post Boomer.

The winner from South Australia was 9-year old Sarah Ipsen from the St. Martins Catholic Primary School.

The clinic will run from 11:30am to 1pm at the St. Martins School in Greenacres on Princes Road in Greenacres.

All media are welcome to attend and will have opportunities to take photographs and to speak with Newley on a one-to-one basis.

St. Martins has a child protection policy in place. Upon arriving at the school, media must check in at the school’s Reception Office before being accompanied to the clinic by a Basketball Australia staff member.
