World Champion defencejobs Opal Lauren Jackson was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Women's Korean Basketball League (WKBL) All-Star game in Yongin after scoring a game-high 39 points to lead the South to a 106-94 victory over Central.

Jackson also grabbed a game-high 19 rebounds and tallied 3 assists in receiving a unanimous vote for the MVP honor following a journalist’s ballot held after the game.

The unanimous vote was the second of its kind in the Korean league after Tamika Catchings of the United States took the honor in 2003.

Playing for club side Samsung Bichumi, Jackson told reporters she enjoyed the WKBL All-Star more than any other All-Star game she played in.

The 25-year-old leads the league with 27.8 points and 13.4 rebounds per game and was named the WKBL's most valuable player during the second round earlier this month.

Samsung and Woori Hansae are tied for second in the six-strong league, three games behind the Shinhan S-birds.
